Poultry Health Science Module 5: Enterococci and Streptococci

6/29/2022:

Infections with Enterococci and Streptococci have an important economic impact on poultry production. In this module, we will focus on the specific role of several of the causative bacteria, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and prophylaxis, with emphasis on production systems which avoid the use of antibiotics.

Together with Royal GD, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine offer a two-week module on Enterococci and Streptococci that gives a broad overview of infections with these bacteria and how they affect the poultry industry.

The module offers a combination of science and field experience and includes presentations by Matthijs (Mieke), Thijs Manders and other experts. The module is part of the multi-modular post-graduate course Poultry Health Science.

This module starts on September 19th, 2022 and takes place online.
